Gujarati film Chaniya Toli earned Rs. It grossed around Rs 1.25 crore in its third weekend at the Indian box office. The film’s total box office collection after twenty days of release was Rs. Approximately 20.75 crores. It is one of the biggest Gujarati films of all time, earning Rs. Gross figure of 20 crores.
Released during the Diwali weekend, the film had a strong opening and steady hold till its second weekend. The way it was performing, it seemed ready for Rs. Finished at or around Rs 30 crore. This would have made it the third biggest Gujarati film of all time, perhaps even the second. However, this performance was interrupted by box office giant Lalo, which is producing unprecedented numbers for a Gujarati film. This lost most of the momentum of Chaniya Toli and the film now made around Rs. Can reach. 25 crores. Either way, the movie is still a huge hit, it’s just that what could have been vs. what is going to be is a little disappointing.
Keeping that aside, it has been a historic period for Gujarati cinema with two massive money-earners in the span of a month. The earnings of these two films will be more than what the Gujarati film industry usually earns in an entire year. 2025 was already shaping up to be a landmark year for the Gujarati film industry, with some big-grossing films and Rs. Apparently the 100 crore gross mark for the first time. Now, it’s ending the year on an even stronger, record-breaking note.
