Censor Board asks ‘Bad Newz’ makers to change Vicky-Tripathi’s intimate scene: Report
Vicky Kaushal and Tripti Dimri starrer ‘Bad Newz’ has been passed by the censor board with a U/A rating. The board has not recommended any cuts but has asked the makers to make some changes in the scenes featuring Vicky Kaushal and Tripti Dimri.

The Censor Board for Film Certification (CBFC) recently gave ‘Bad Newz’ a U/A rating. It did not order major cuts in the final run but suggested a 27-second modification in three intimate scenes of Vicky Kaushal and Tripti Dimri.
A report said Bollywood Hungama It is mentioned that the board did not ask for any scene to be deleted but insisted on strategic modifications. It reportedly asked for ‘modifying the lip-lock scene’ in three scenes of 10 seconds, 8 seconds and 9 seconds. The CBFC also asked for other minor changes, including increasing the font-size of the anti-alcohol disclaimer on screen and replacing another disclaimer from the beginning of the film.
The length of the film as mentioned on the censor certificate is 142 minutes (2 hours, 22 minutes). ‘Bad Newz’ is a romantic comedy, which also stars Amy Virk and Neha Dhupia. Interestingly, the trailer, songs and other promos showcase the amazing chemistry between Vicky and Tripti, who are paired on screen for the first time.
‘Bad Newz’ will enjoy a good release at the box office, while ‘Sarfira’ fared poorly and ‘Indian 2’ failed to make any attempt to bring audiences to the theatres in the Hindi market. The only competition the film will face is ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, which is continuing to perform strongly in its fourth week, especially in the Hindi belt.
Directed by Anand Tiwari, the film is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Anand Tiwari, Manish Meghnai’s Amazon Prime and Amritpal Singh Bindra’s Leo Media Collective Pvt Ltd. ‘Bad News’ is releasing on July 19.
