News agency PTI said in its report that choreographer Remo D’Souza and his wife Lizelle D’Souza got into legal trouble when a 26-year-old dancer filed a complaint against them. He is not the only one whose name has been taken in this case. Apart from him, many other people have been accused of alleged fraud. Police said on Saturday that a case has been registered against all of them for allegedly defrauding a dance troupe of Rs 11.96 crore in Thane district of Maharashtra.
A case was registered against Remo, his wife Liezel and five others under sections 465 (forgery), 420 (cheating) and other relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code at the Mira Road police station on October 16, PTI quoted an official as saying. Had gone. The 26-year-old dancer and his troupe were allegedly defrauded between 2018 and July 2024, the FIR states. The complainant had also revealed that the dance troupe had performed in a reality TV show and had even won it but the accused allegedly posed as if the group belonged to them and claimed the prize money of Rs 11.96 crore.
Other accused in this case are Omprakash Shankar Chauhan, Rohit Jadhav, Frame Production Company, Vinod Raut, a policeman and Ramesh Gupta. It is noteworthy that currently the investigation of this matter is going on.
For the unknown, Remo D’Souza made his television debut on the dance reality show Dance India Dance (DID) with Terence Lewis and Geeta Kapoor. He has choreographed in about 100 films. Meanwhile, his directorial venture, Be Happy is set to premiere soon on Amazon Prime Video. It stars Abhishek Bachchan, Inayat Verma, Nora Fatehi, Nassar, Johnny Lever and Harleen Sethi.
