“I don’t think anyone at 18 or 19 is going to go to their dad and say, “Can I go on this trip?” It’s like, “Dad, I really have to go on this school trip, and you really have to pay for it.” So, you know, it’s more than just asking for permission,'” she said.
The actor also shared that she hopes young audiences, especially Gen Z, will learn from the film’s legacy.
She said, “I think I would love to tell them that relationships and family are what matter at the end of the day, everything we take from life. So I hope that’s one aspect of it: that your family is your family, and they love you. And, you know, that’s what it’s all about.”
When asked what she wouldn’t want Gen Z to take away from the film, she responded with her trademark humor, “My dressing sense, at least, definitely,” she said.
On the professional front, Kajol was last seen in the theatrical release 2025 Mother. The same year, she also appeared in the OTT film land.
