BTS leaders RM and Tablo’s stop the Ren is a Stark, unfliest look on mental health
‘Stop the Rain’ is an introspection cooperation between Epic High’s Tablo and BTS RM, focusing on raw spirit and personal conflicts. The sparse production and intense songs of the song create a powerful story on mental health.

Released on May 2, Stop the Rain is not a traditional cooperation between the two most prominent sounds of Korean music. Instead, it is a raw, introspective piece from the RM of Epic High and BTS – a song that prioritize honesty on Polish and Cathorsis on the conference.
Only running for more than three minutes, the track opens in a low register and lives there without any dramatic arc. Production is sparse – to hit the heat, surrounding texture, and enough space for the song to hit without distraction. No hooks have been created for radio. Just a sense of environment, weight and emotional peace.
Tablo immediately set the tone with lines that make deep cuts: “I call me rebel / parents with a losing hand / teachers, I was called a Devil by Lost / Pastor.” His poetry goes through a psychological effects of childhood trauma, religious crime and misunderstanding. These are not abstract music – they are specific, living experiences, distributed with clarity and restraint. He questions what perspective – often seen as a gift – when you are in constant danger, it is much more worth: “When you are in a hunter’s crossfire, what is the view of a bird’s eye?”

Then RM arrives, it moves energy without soft or sugarcane. Their delivery is calm because he reflects not only on previous struggles, but also on current fatigue that comes from carrying them. “The rain will fall / and may not come tomorrow,” he says – not as a metaphor, but as a statement of reality. His poem touches the pressure of suicidal thoughts, burnouts, and delicate inside, as strong as seen.
The chorus takes everything down for its emotional core: “Can’t run away from pain / I think I am filling my brain / demons’ inside my veins’ filling my brain / demons’ to fill ‘crazy / bad thoughts’. This mental health is a field of spirals – and refuses to clean them for comfort.
Rain stops the stand out, it is not just its lyrical depth – the fact that neither artists are interested in converting their pain into performance. This is the mutual document that it feels to live with internal storms that do not pass.
Together, the animated video confirms the tone of the song. Black-end-white visuals show the characters who are immersed in water, caught in endless rain, suspended in a kind of emotional organ.
According to Tablo, the track was recorded before the RM’s military list and was held for release as a gesture of mutual honor. He described the song as “page from our magazines”, and this detail is correct. This is not a preacher single. This is a personal collection.
In a music scenario which is often of image and performance shaped, stopping rain is not liked. It just asks to listen. And this is what he gives weight.
