Two young Israeli girls have appealed to US President Donald Trump to help bring their father home after 523 days in Hamas captivity.
Omri Miran, 47, was kidnapped on 7 October 2023 during the Hamas attack on Kibutaz Nahl Oz. Armed operators exploded at his house, forced him into his car and left his wife and his two young daughters – Ronnie, then two years old, and Alma, leaving behind, at just six months old.
Now, a video of Miran’s daughters, which was shared on X, reflects the signs of support and addresses Trump directly into Hebrew. “Trump, help us bring daddy from Gaza,” they say, with adding one of them, “thanks” in English. Girls are also seen hugging and kissing their father’s pictures.
Miran is still one of the 59 hostages held near Hamas, with 24 that it is believed to have been waiting for the release under the next phase of the ceasefire that stopped between Israel and Palestinian group. His wife, Lishhe Lavi-Miran tagged Trump in a viral post.
“They know that you are those who bring dades home for their children. Please help us back to Omar and all the hostages,” they wrote, “We are trusting you. Thank you, thank you, @Potus!”
Dear @RealdonaldtrumpMy daughters talk about you all the time – they know that you are the ones who bring The Dades home for their children.

Already rescued hostage, Noa Argamani responded to the video. “I can’t wait to see all of you to see Omri again,” Ms. Argony wrote, who is still waiting for her lover, uninterrupted or release. “We will both hug our soul again,” Lishhe Lavi-Miran replied.
We both will embrace our soul again ????

In February, Mr. Miran’s family received a rare indication of life from him through the then Freed Hostage. The prisoner issued informed Shri Miran’s brothers, Boz and Nadav that they were held with Omri Miraan by July 2024 and at that time, he appeared physically fine.
As the conversation continues, American Special Envoy Steve Witchoff Doha is in Qatar, a leading arbitration effort for a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas. The current proposal supported by Israel, seeks the release of at least 10 living hostages including the 60-day expansion of the ceasefire and the Israeli-American Aden Alexander.
The first phase of the ceasefire starting on January 19 ended in early March without a permanent agreement. Hamas accused Israel of preventing and cutting Gaza’s humanitarian crisis, deteriorating and cutting. They are interacting immediately in the second phase of the Trus, while Israel wants to expand the first stage.
