Box Office: Superman scored a decent opening weekend in India; James Gun Directorial collects Rs 24 crore

James Gun-directed Superman has created decent results in India in its early weekends, as David Carrenceweight starrer has collected Rs 24.50 crore (GBOC: 30 crore rupees) in 3 days. The superhero saga opened at Rs 6.75 crore on Friday, followed by Rs 9.00 crore on Saturday and a nominal dip on Sunday to Rs 8.75 crore. The film has done its best business in urban centers, but unfortunately, the mass belt did not come on board in the weekend.

National series have contributed about 60 percent of the total business, and ideally, this ratio of a superhero film on a cult character like Superman should have been around 55 percent. Superman is appreciated, but it is not close to global reception in India, as the weekend trend, especially on Sunday, was not as promising.

David Konswetw starrer will be expecting a good grip in the collection on Monday, and then to show a strong trend in the second weekend, will see to reach a successful number in a long time. Superman’s business is also affected due to the disorganized release window, which leads to competition from industries.

The biggest contestant for Superman came as Jurassic World: rebirth in India, as the dinosaur saga dropped it out of the park on Saturday and Sunday with excellent jump. Superman would be looking at the first week of business in the area around Rs 35 crore, and then approaching the half -century mark by the end of the second weekend.
