Ajay Devgan has created a strong reputation to perform at the box office continuously, not only in franchise blockbusters such as Singham but also in the sections of the middle budget. His latest release directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, RAID 2 hit theaters on 1 May and opened for a promising start. But how does it compare their contemporary successes like Satan and Drishyam 2 in terms of early collections? Find down below!

RAID 2 kicks with the strongest day 1 between the three, thanks to the Labor Day Holiday and the return of Devgan’s popular character, anti -corruption IRS officer Ami Patnaik. However, the film witnessed a lot of attention on 2 days, causing a total distance of two days to about Rs 31.40 crore.
A supernatural thriller Satan, released in March 2024, had a more balanced trajectory. It started gracelessly on day 1 and increased the speed on day 2, ending slightly ahead of RAID 2 with Rs 33 crore in two days. The film was widely praised for its story and performance, especially a terrible turn by R Madhavan. It eventually became one of the biggest hits of 2024.
Drishyam 2, a crime thriller and the sequel to the 2015 hit, leads the race with a strong day 2 and the total of two days of Rs 35.75 crore. Abhishek Pathak’s direction and artists’ contingent and Akshay Khanna, contributed to the mouth of the outstanding word of the film, as significant praise received it.
While RAID 2 may not have crossed others in the two-day window, its performance is considering competition from two other titles-Retro and Hit 2-Box Office. With the established audience of its proven box office bridge and franchise, Devgan will hopes that the film keeps well in the ongoing weekends and weekends.
With the steady performance of the three films, one thing is clear: Ajay Devgan remains a bank -worthy name in procedural drama, supernatural horror and grounded thriller.
