Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh, saw a huge decline in its earnings on 5th Wednesday. The film made Rs. 15 lakh in the tally, taking the total to Rs. Earning Rs 305.30 crore at the box office.
Backed by Jaypee Films and T-Series Films, the military action drama is now in its final stages at the ticket window. The entire journey is expected to cost around Rs. 306 crore to Rs. 308 crore nett mark versus the re-release of The Kerala Story 2 and Tere Naam, depending on how the film performs in its sixth week.
The Sunny Deol starrer performed well over the weekend but was average on weekdays, which is why, it finished its overall performance far behind Deol’s Gadar 2. Nevertheless, the film achieved a clean hit verdict, and became the second highest grossing film for Sunny Deol and career best for the rest of the cast – Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty.
