A 16 -year -old girl in Florida was allegedly abducted, tortured, and murdered by a man she met online and her partner. Officials have arrested 35 -year -old Steven Grace and his partner, 37 -year -old Michel Brands in connection with the brutal murder of Miranda Corset.
ABC News reported that Ms. Corset, who lived with her grandmother in Gulfport, was reported to be missing on 24 February. Investigators later found that he was lured by Grace through a dating app. His first In -Parson meeting took place on 14 February. After spending the day at his house – Ms. Corset returned to her grandmother’s house at the 27th Avenue North in St. Petersburg.
She went back to Grace’s residence the next day and stayed there.
For about a week, Ms. corset stayed with Grace and Brands until tension on 20 February erupted. The couple allegedly accused her of stealing a ring, causing violent confrontation.
Officials say Ms. Corset was placed against her wish for more than seven days, during which she was subjected to cruel torture. On Saturday, according to an arrest affidavit, Grace and Brands repeatedly defeated him and eventually a billiard ball in his mouth was wrapped in his mouth and wrapped his face with plastic, he suffocated him.
NBC News reported that investigators believe that Ms. Corset was killed between February 20 and February 24.
After the murder, Grace allegedly took the body of Ms. Corset to a house on a Malori drive in Largo. Detectives later found that his body slipped there. Grace and Brands allegedly drove the remains for Ruskin in Hillsborough County, dumping them in a dumpster at 2893 14th Avenue, SE.
On 6 March, about two weeks after the 16 -year -old disappearance, a witness approached the police with significant information about potential kidnapping and murder. The St. Petersburg Police launched an immediate investigation, detecting the movements of Ms. Corset and the activities of the suspects.
At the time of the witness report, Ms. Grace was already behind bars on unrelated allegations. He was reportedly arrested for extending the humpum in the brands and was arrested on 5 March. He was also facing allegations of drug possession, opposing arrests and possession of Mentalfetamine and Marijuana, Tampa Bay Times.
After investigating the murder, Grace was officially accused of kidnapping Ms. Corset and first-degree murder. When she surrendered to the officials on Saturday morning, the police were actively looking for brands. She is now facing allegations like Grace -First -Digry murder and kidnapping. Officials say the investigation is active, and can follow additional allegations.
The police is working to fix the body, which is now considered in a landfill.
Steven Grace is currently held without bail in Pinellus County Jail. A public guard has been appointed to represent them, and has filed a petition for not being guilty. The court details about Michelle brands are yet to be released.
