Bhoot Bangla Worldwide Opening Weekend Box Office: Akshay Kumar’s horror comedy earns Rs 95 crore in 3 days globally

Bhoot Bangla performed well in the opening weekend and collected Rs. Earned Rs. 95 crores at the worldwide box office. The horror-comedy drama collected around Rs. 67 crore gross from domestic markets (Rs 56 crore nett), while overseas territories contributed US$3 million, taking the total to Rs. 28 crores gross.

It’s quite an encouraging weekend for Akshay Kumar’s film, whose recent track record hasn’t been too good. Till now the film has set a very good base. Just need to keep it good going forward. If the film manages to do well on Monday and then on weekdays, it will get a clean hit verdict, which is the need of the hour for Khiladi Kumar. Akshay Kumar’s previous film, Jolly LLB 3 also had a good weekend, but it lost momentum on weekdays, due to which it did not become a hit. Bhoot Bangla will aim to avoid this.

Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhoot Bangla received mixed responses among the audience. Had the film received great word-of-mouth, it would have seen an even bigger weekend. Nevertheless, the horror comedy drama has seen promising growth over the weekend, outperforming Jolly LLB 3, especially on its third day (Sunday) in a big way.

The box office collection of Bhoot Bangla is as follows:

Specific gross box office

India Rupee. 67 crores
migrant Rupee. 28 crores

around the world Rupee. 95 crores gross

For those unaware, Bhoot Bangla marks the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan after almost 15 years. The film also stars Vamika Gabbi, Mithila Palkar, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Late Asrani, Manoj Joshi, Jissu Sengupta, Rajesh Sharma and others. Tabu makes a brief cameo.
