Bhoot Bungalow raised Rs. Collected. Earning around Rs 22 crores on Sunday. Along with this, the Akshay Kumar starrer horror comedy has collected around Rs. 5,000 in its opening weekend. Earning around Rs 56 crore including paid previews on Thursday. The trend was strong over the weekend, with an increase of almost 60 percent on Saturday and then a 20 percent increase on Sunday.
This trend was even stronger than Akshay Kumar’s previous film Jolly LLB 3. The collections of both the films were same on Friday and Saturday, but on Sunday, Bhoot Bangla went ahead. This is partly because Jolly LLB 3 performed better in urban centers and the North, where Saturday growth is better, while Bhoot Bangla has the Hindi belt circuit scoring, and they grow more on Sundays. This doesn’t mean that Bhoot Bangla isn’t working in the North, it’s just that it’s not limited to here, like Jolly LLB 3 was.
The film did what it was supposed to do over the weekend; Now it’s all about doing well on weekdays, and if that happens, it will become the third hit of the year for the Hindi film industry. The weekend has ensured that this will be a success, as the performance so far will give you a minimum of good holds going forward. Still, confirmation Monday would be great. Akshay Kumar’s previous film Jolly LLB 3 had performed well on weekends, but could not repeat it on weekdays, due to which it ultimately remained a hit. Bhoot Bangla will aim to avoid this.
