Bhoot Bangla box office collection: Akshay Kumar starrer’s overseas collection, earns Rs. 27 crores worldwide on the first day

Akshay Kumar’s Bhoot Bangla took a good start overseas and collected around US$1.05 million (Rs 9.50 crore) on the first day. This includes approximately US$200K received from previews on Thursday. Combined with Rs. Around 18 crores (Rs. 15 crores) in India, worldwide first day earnings of Rs. Approximately Rs 27.50 crore.

The opening overseas is better than India, which is contrary to what one would expect from a film from this region. It could reach around US$3 million over the weekend, which won’t be too far from Jolly LLB 3’s lifetime business of US$3.45 million. The opening weekend would be lower than Housefull 5, which had earned US$3.90 million, but the film did not fare so well and closed at just over US$6 million. So, there is a very good possibility that Bhoot Bangla may succeed in surpassing it completely, if it can get even the best of legs.

Leading the top plays is the Middle East, where the film earned US$400K. Titles like Dhurandhar and Border 2 were not released here, so Bhoot Bangla was the first major Bollywood release in the region in some time. Next was the United States with US$225,000 including previews, ahead of Housefull 5’s US$210,000, although that was without previews. Other markets such as Australia, Canada and the UK also performed well, with the former having very strong occupancy rates.

The regional details of Bhoot Bangla’s overseas box office are as follows:

area Total
United States of America 225,000 US dollars
Canada 90,000 US dollars
Australia – New Zealand 110,000 US dollars
middle east USD 400,000
united kingdom 120,000 US dollars
rest of the world 100,000 US dollars

migrant 1,045,000 US dollars
