Ali, known for his comic roles in Telugu films, has recently been in the news after getting into legal trouble. According to the report of News 18, a gram panchayat in Vikarabad district of Telangana has issued a notice to the veteran actor. They have reportedly accused him of building the farmhouse without any proper approval.
The notice was issued by Ekamamidi gram panchayat in Nawabpet mandal. According to the report, officials have instructed Ali to stop the construction immediately. Earlier, he had asked them to provide necessary documents and permissions for the project. However, the actor reportedly failed to respond, leading to a fresh notice being issued.
The Gram Panchayat Secretary has asked Ali again to submit the necessary documents and obtain approval for the construction. The notice warns that action will be taken under the Panchayati Raj Act in case of non-compliance. However, the comedian-actor has not yet responded to the issue.
Ali entered the film industry with the support of Jeet Mohan Mitra, the owner of a music company in Rajahmundry. When director Bharathi Raja was selecting child actors for Seethakka Chiluka he moved to Chennai and got a role.
Ali appeared in many films in his childhood. However, as he grew older, it became more difficult for him to find roles. Eventually he moved towards comedy in Telugu cinema.
Director SV Krishna Reddy gave Ali unique comic roles and created characters especially for him. Ali is known for his distinctive comedy style, including his famous Kataravalli and Endha Chaata dialogues from Rajendrudu Gajendrudu. He also received recognition for his performance in the 2010 Kannada film Super.
Ali became a member of YSRCP in 2019. In 2022, he was named Electronic Media Advisor to the Government of Andhra Pradesh. However, in 2024, Ali decided to step away from politics.
Veteran star Ali has been a part of 1000 films in Telugu, and some of his notable works include Vakeel Vishwanath, Kaliyugamlo Gandargolam, Ali Baba Adbutta Deepam, Ghatotkachudu and more.
