Actress Yamini Malhotra, who was a contestant on Bigg Boss 18, talked about the challenges she faced while looking for a house in Mumbai. Sharing a detailed post on Instagram on Tuesday, Yamini revealed that landlords ‘categorically refuse’ when she mentions her profession.

In her post, Yamini also told that people ask her questions about her religion and ethnicity. Her post began with, “Hello friends, I just want to share something that is really disappointing. As much as I love Mumbai, finding a home here has been a tough journey.”

He further said, “I was asked questions like, ‘Are you a Hindu or a Muslim?’ ‘Gujarati or Marwari?’ And as soon as people hear that I am an actor, I am not eligible to get a house. It is shocking that these questions exist even in 2025. Can really call it a city of dreams, if dreams come true (sic)?”

Apart from being an actor, Yamini Malhotra is also a dentist in Delhi. She was seen in Main Teri Tu Mera, Ghum Hai Kyaike Pyaar Mein and the Telugu film Chuttalabbai (2016). She entered Bigg Boss 18 as a wildcard contestant and was eliminated within a few weeks.

TV actor Karan Veer Mehra lifted the Bigg Boss 18 trophy, with Vivian Dsena becoming the first runner-up.
