In a recent interview with India Today’s sister channel, when Badshah was asked about his ex-wife Jasmin, he said, “I loved her with all my heart.” Lallantop“We met on the internet, on Facebook. Then we met at a friend’s party in Chandigarh. After dating for one and a half years, we got married,” the 38-year-old singer said.

He revealed that even his parents did not object to their marriage but just asked him, “Are you sure? Since she is born and brought up in London, it might create problems.” And that is what happened. “She couldn’t adjust to the culture and it really went awry. But we tried our best in that relationship,” Badshah said.

The singer, best known for songs like ‘Kar Gayi Chull’, ‘Saturday Saturday’ and ‘Genda Phool’, also said that he and Jasmin decided to end their marriage for the well-being of their daughter. “We separated because it wasn’t good for our child. he told Lallantop His daughter, like his ex-wife, follows Christianity and loves his song ‘Pani Pani’. However, she is a big fan of the South Korean music group Blackpink.

When asked if he has lost faith and trust in the institution of marriage, Badshah said, “Marriage is a flawed concept in today’s times. There needs to be some changes in it. There is a lot of pressure in it. I think one should think about it properly and get married only after a certain maturity.”

According to the rapper-singer, the ideal age to get married is 40. “You should get married only when you are completely sure, otherwise the marriage will suffer and the institution of marriage will be discredited. A relationship is a duty, a full-time job. Co-existing with someone who has their own opinions is a full-time job, especially when you have your own opinions,” Badshah concluded.

Badshah was recently seen on The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix along with music sensation Divine and Karan Aujla.
