Nina Gupta, a famous actress in Indian cinema, has worked for decades, revealed that her relationship with her granddaughter Matara is very special and modern. She went to explain that she does not really feel like a grandmother and therefore, instructed Masaba Gupta’s daughter to address her as Nina instead of Nani.
Nina Gupta’s daughter, a famous fashion designer, gave birth to her baby girl, Matara in October 2024, and the actress could not be happy. However, in an interview with ANI, she explained that she does not recognize the role of a specific grandmother, “I don’t feel like a grandmother. In fact, I have asked Little not to call me a grandmother, but, call me Nina.”
His decision to be called by his first name instead of traditional grandmother shows Nina’s modern view for his family relationships. She said that she does not want to feel old and like to enjoy the experience of being with her granddaughter without getting caught in some roles assigned to grandparents.
Masaba Gupta and Satyadeep Mishra tied the knot on 27 January 2023. A year later, in April 2024, he shared the amazing news of his baby’s arrival through an Instagram post. Nina’s strong relationship with Matara seems full of love and understanding.
Apart from her personal life, the panchayat actress has also left an impression in her professional life. In her upcoming film, Hindi Windy, she will play the role of a grandmother. In the film, Gupta depicted a music teacher in India, and the story focuses on his relationship with his grandson, played by Archies actor Mihir Ahuja. The film examines deep emotional themes and shows how music can help bring people of different ages together.
