B Praak is known for singing popular songs like Man Bharya, Teri Mitti, Saari Duniya Jala Denge. He has preferred to keep his personal life away from the limelight, but a tragedy struck his family when the singer and his wife Mira Bachan lost their second child, Faza, at her birth. Although he shared the news on social media and often posted in her memory, the Indian singer recently discussed the incident in detail and mentioned that it was the darkest phase of his life.
Losing one’s childhood is the worst pain for a parent, and B Praak discussed the same experience in his interview with Shubhankar Mishra. The National Award-winning singer opens up for the first time about facing a very negative phase in his life. He admitted that the incident felt like a burden unlike anything he had ever experienced, causing him to doubt everything in life.
Reflecting on his feelings, he said, “If anyone in life will feel heavy, then who will have to bear it, it will be my son. I have never borne anything like that in my life. That’s enough to survive.” (If ever I felt like a heavy burden in my life, it was my son; I never lifted anything heavier than that. It was a huge weight for a small child.)
Furthermore, the singer-composer shared how his family dealt with the loss and recalled telling his mother that the reason he was doing this was because he had never carried such a heavy burden in life. After burying his newborn son, B Praak came to the hospital to be with his wife Meera, who was already devastated by the incident.
She said that despite the loss, she wanted to see her son for the last time but she was unable to glimpse him, which further affected her.
He shared, “It was a bad time. We lost everything in life. He would be so negative. To this day he is angry with me about that.” (We became so negative that she (Meera) is angry with me till today.)
B Praak revealed that the tragedy happened in 2022 but still impacts his life as his wife is still angry with him because she did not get to see a glimpse of their second child.
B Praak married Mira Bachchan in Chandigarh in 2019. The couple welcomed their first children, a son named Adab in 2020 and Faza in 2022, who died at birth.
