Awesham 2 coming soon, confirms Fahadh Faasil
Fahadh Faasil’s portrayal of gangster Ranjit Gangadharan (Ranga) in director Jeethu Madhavan’s film Awesham helped him regain his place as a popular actor. Ever since this mass entertainer became one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films of the year, audiences have been eagerly waiting for its sequel.
‘Is Awesham 2 being made?’ This burning question is on the lips of all his fans. So, the actor was quick to reveal that the film is indeed being made. Nodding ‘yes’, Faasil said at a recent event, “There can’t be any announcement about it. Of course, we have Awesomes. Wherever you go, people ask when is it? Hopefully 27 or 28.”
In the same viral clip, the actor also opened up about his character in director Mahesh Narayanan’s anticipated thriller Patriot. When asked how he balances films in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu film industries, the actor said, “I don’t know how to say this. It’s mostly because of the directors I work with, and also as a villain in Patriot.”

Fahadh Faasil’s Patriot also stars Mohanlal and Mammootty in lead roles. He is also joined by Nayanthara, Kunchacko Boban and Revathi. The upcoming action film is scheduled to release on screens worldwide on April 23, 2026.
A few hours ago, the producer released an inside video to announce that Mohanlal has completed dubbing for Patriot. “Some voices don’t just speak, they define moments,” she said in the caption.
