Arjun Kapoor often showers his immense love on sisters Anshula Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor. Meanwhile, reflecting on their bond, Anshula recently admitted that she was financially dependent on her brother for 9-10 years after their mother passed away.
During a recent conversation with Hotterfly, Arjun Kapoor’s sister Anshula Kapoor recalled starting her first job with Google at the age of 21, when she was not financially independent. She shared, “I was still very dependent on Arjun bhaiya, and I think for the better part of about 9-10 years after mom passed away. I was, I still am to some extent emotionally and mentally Depend on them. I’m almost like a child. He never asked for it, but he got it.”
The star-kid further said that it is only in the last two years that she has gained financial freedom and is living her desired lifestyle based on the money she is earning herself. He expressed gratitude and pride at reaching that point in his life.
Furthermore, Kapoor acknowledged his privilege and revealed getting a separate bedroom with an attached toilet before he was a teenager. She described not having to share her bathroom with her brother while she was menstruating as “a big deal.” When asked if they discussed periods openly, Anshula said it was “always” the case.
She told that her brother is six years older than her, so she must have talked to someone first who might have experienced her periods. He expressed certainty that his mother will also discuss the same with the Singham Again actor. “He’s never done that even once, even today, literally, I could be laying in bed with cramps, and he’d be like, ‘Fuck,’ and I’d be like, ‘There’s a lot of bleeding, cramps.’ , and he won’t be really angry,” Anshula said.
Praising her brother, the proud sister revealed that Arjun Kapoor used to constantly keep an eye on her during her periods to see if she had a hot water bottle, if she took medicines, or if she needed anything. When the host referred to the actor as the star green flag bearer, Anshula immediately agreed, saying, “He is a complete green flag bearer. He is very intelligent in that sense.”
Anshula and Arjun are the children of Boney Kapoor and his first wife Mona Shourie Kapoor.
