Actor Arjun Kapoor, who recently confirmed his breakup with Malaika Arora and announced that he is “single”, talked about dealing with loneliness in a recent interview. The 39-year-old actor declined to reveal specifics about his past relationships, but opened up about dealing with emotional struggles, especially after the death of his mother Mona Shourie Kapoor in March 2012.

When Arjun was asked whether he felt the same loneliness after the breakup as he did after his mother’s death, Arjun told Hollywood Reporter India“It’s very difficult to speak about and know about, because I feel like I have to respect the way things are.”

He continued, “I don’t like to go into details for this reason, but I would never separate the two things. I think my problems in the early part of my life are not related to where I am today. “

Recalling the years after his mother’s death, Arjun said that while he was professionally successful, he struggled personally. He said that in 2014, when he was coping with the death of his mother and his sister was living in Delhi, the house felt empty. This was also when he was becoming a star, gaining attention for his work, but not for his personal life.

“I think it was 2014, and I was coping with my mother’s death, and my sister was in Delhi, so the house was empty. This was the time when I was becoming a star and I was getting all the attention, but not the attention I wanted in my personal life. Then, no matter what the work was like, my personal life became balanced. I think today, as I say this, I just need to take care of myself,” Arjun said.

He added, “Being selfish gets a bit of a bad rap, but I think it’s not selfish. It’s just that I wasn’t okay because of other things – it wasn’t the loneliness or me being alone; it There was only one, a lot has happened in my life.”

The actor, who received praise for his performance in Singham Again, also shared some life advice, saying, “Relationships complete you but if you are not okay, you need to figure it out. You can’t impose it on a relationship ” Or other people, it happens every day (that) you figure things out. I always say that every day you wake up, you need to focus on new things you need to work on – whether you’re in a relationship or otherwise.’

Arjun recently attended a Diwali party in Mumbai, where, when he took the microphone, people around him started shouting Malaika’s name. Arjun jokingly told the crowd, “Abhi single hoon main, relax” (“I am single right now, relax”).

Arjun and Malaika started dating in 2018 and according to reports, parted ways amicably after being together for several years.
