Ariana Grande and Jonathan Bailey had a theater connection on the Wicked set. The two may be known for 2 different things, the first is famous for her pop music, and the second is famous for her role in Bridgerton, but one thing they both had in common was that they both loved theater. Ariana Grande and Bailey opened up about their chemistry with BTS on Wicked in an interview with People Magazine. “I feel like we were both very theater kids in the room,” the We Can’t Be Friends singer said. To which the Bridgerton actor agreed, saying they were “constant.”
Ariana revealed that they had the best time together on set, explaining, “And we were so hilarious together. That was the hardest thing with us. We were the funniest couple. It carbonated our chemistry. ” To which the 36-year-old amusingly replied, “It thrilled us.”
Grande said that her character’s onscreen relationship with Bailey’s character is also playing out in real life. “They were falling in love with each other as friends in real life too. That was a beautiful part of it. We had the most beautiful time,” she said.
Bailey plays the dreamy Prince Fiyero, who plays Ariana’s love interest as Glinda, the Good Witch, in the film. Currently, this musical is taking the world by storm and is breaking records in the very first week of its release.
