Apple issues emergency updates to fix major security defects in iOS: how to install here

Apple has released an emergency safety update for iOS and iPados – iOS 18.3.1 and iPados 18.3.1. Updates are now available to download and Apple has urged users to download it immediately to protect their devices from a serious zero-day vulnerability. In its safety note, the company revealed that this vulnerability has already been exploited in “highly sophisticated” targeted attacks, and therefore it is necessary to set up updates without delays without iPhone and iPad users.
The vulnerability in Apple devices tracked as CVE-2025-24200, initially discovered and reported by the Bill Marczak of the Civil Lab. Now with the new update, Apple has highlighted that the blame is an authority issue that can allow the attackers to bypass important security facilities, including USB restricted mode, a safety measure locked equipment Is designed to prevent unauthorized access to.
“Apple knows about a report that the issue can be exploited in an extremely sophisticated attack against specific target persons,” says Apple.

According to Apple, the vulnerability of the a-flagged zero-day affects the USB restricted mode, a security facility that was introduced in iOS 11.4.1 ago about seven years ago. How to install update
To update your iPhone or iPad:

– Now go to the “Settings” app on your iPhone or iPad.
– Tap on the next “normal” and then choose the “software update”.
