Apple is joining hands with anthropic to create AI tools for vibe coding. It refers to a programming method where AI agents generate code, a concept that gains popularity in the AI landscape.

Apple is partnership with Amazon-supported startup anthropic on a new “vib-coding” software platform, which will use artificial intelligence for writing, editing and testing codes on behalf of the programmer, Bloomberg News described people with knowledge of the case. “Vibe coding” refers to a programming method where AI agents generate code, a concept that gains popularity in the AI landscape.
The new AI coding system is an updated version of Apple’s programming software, Xcode, and anthropic’s cloud Sonnet will integrate AI model, the report states. Anthropic refused to comment, while Apple did not immediately respond to the requests of a Reuters for comments.
The report stated that Apple plans to deploy the software internally, the company is still unlike a public launch.
Earlier, Apple announced an AI-powered coding tool for Xcode, named Swift Assist, which was purified for the 2024 release. However, it was never provided to developers, with some concerns with Apple engineers about the potential recession in the development of the app, Bloomberg said.

Apple is equipped with more powerful chips designed to handle its devices to handle AI tasks, such as user calls Openai’s chatgpt to answer questions, as it wants to attract customers.
