Apple is expected to announce its next-gene operating system at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which is closed on 9 June. However, cupertino-based tech giants can also announce new features for airpods during WWDC Keenote.
But people 9to5mac Report that Apple is working on five new features for airpods, including new head gestures, sleep auto-poses, camera control, audio mix and better pairing experiences in shared iPads.
Apple presented the head gestures for Airpods Pro 2 and AirPods 4 last year. These allow users to accept or reject calls and only interact or dismiss with notifications without using their hands without using the head up or down-to-side.
The new head gestures will expand users to extend the conversation awareness volume adjustment before returning to their original noise-control settings. In addition, users may be able to use a head gesture to eliminate a conversation awareness volume adjustment, which is currently done by pressing on the stem of airpods and swiping it on it.

Talking about the stem of airpods, TWS will get a camera control feature, so that users can click on the stem of AirPods and take a picture with a coupled iPhone or iPad camera.
The next up sleep is auto-poses, which will use sleep detection automatically to prevent music playback if the user sleeps when wearing his airpode.
In addition, we have an audio mix, which was introduced by Apple last year with the iPhone 16 series. This machine distinguishes the background elements from speech with the help of learning and lets users choose from three voice options: in-frames, studios and cinematic. The source claims that Apple is developing a uniform “studio quality” mic mode for airpods, but did not provide more information about it.
Finally, the source reports that apple is working on a feature for airpods to improve coupling experience with shared ipads, which can be useful in classrooms where many students share the same device. “The target is to streamline how airpods connect to iPados in these settings, possibly with low friction and low manual stages,” the source says.
We will hear more about these features next week if Apple is actually planning to present them in WWDC.
