Sometime ago, on January 23, 2025, Priyanka Chopra took to her Instagram handle to express her excitement over her production venture Anuja getting a nomination at the Oscars 2025. PeeCee, who is the executive producer of the film ‘Unbelievable’, was happy to know that it has been nominated in the Live Action Short Film category.
He started by praising the team on receiving this good news. Chopra wrote, “Yaaay! ‘Anuja’ is headed to the 2025 Oscars as a nominee for Best Live Action Short Film! Incredible! Thank you @theacademy for this wonderful honour. A huge congratulations to @adam_j_graves for capturing the essence of love, family and resilience so beautifully. I am in awe of the incredible talent of our actresses Sajda Pathan and @ananya_hanbhag_, their powerful performances and the depth and authenticity they bring to these characters.”
In the caption, the global sensation further said that it’s an honor to be a small part of this film journey with our other partners for her production house, Purple Pebble Pictures. “There’s nothing I’m prouder of than supporting the courageous storytelling of such thought-provoking films,” he said.

Earlier today, the Academy announced the nominations for the Live Action Short Film category of the Oscar Awards 2025 on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle. Apart from Anuja, films like A Lion, I’m Not a Robot, The Last Ranger and more are included. The Man Who Couldn’t Remain Silent is also nominated in this category.
Payal Kapadia’s award-winning film, All We Imagine as Light was also expected to receive a nomination at the 97th Academy Awards. But sadly they missed it. The winners of the prestigious award will be announced at a grand ceremony later this year.
