Amidst increasing speculation about whether these intensive reactions were part of a planned campaign campaign, the film’s producer and YRF CEO Akshay Vihani has now addressed the discussion. Setting the record straight, Vidhani clarified that there are no PR or marketing strategy started by video manufacturers operating online.

Rejecting the claims that the clips of emotionally charged were orchestrated for promoting, Akshay Vidhani told India Today that “none of those people were set up in theaters.”

He said, “Whether he is a person on a drip, a shout on the screen, or the man who took off his shirt and danced – these are the real fans who react to real emotions. It’s fun when you start receiving calls from people, and you really give them thanks. And I can’t remember the last time.”

During the same interview with us, director Mohit Suri thanked for the reception of the film. Talking about the barrage of the call he received after the release of the film, the director said, “Everyone is calling, and really surprising that I have worked on films, where the first people associated with only one class – with people – some liked it, some did not, but with this one, the response has come from the board.

Suri said, “Director, filmmaker, actor – everyone is arriving out. And for the first time, it really feels hearty. Usually, even when a film does well, you can tell when people are humble. Akshay called to share box office figures – it is really charming.”

Emotional plays with Bhavna-Sargam music and standout performance by Ahaan Pandey and Aetet Padada have become the second largest grossing film of the year. Within only 12 days, it recorded more than Rs 265 crore in India and crossed Rs 400 crore globally.
