Ananya Pandey is the daughter of veteran actor Chunky Pandey, but like other star kids, she did not often get a chance to meet her father on the sets. Recently, Chunky Pandey revealed the heart-wrenching reason for this, which is related to his days of struggle. He admitted that he was going through emotional and financial challenges during the 90s and wanted to keep his family away from it.
In a conversation on We Are Young YouTube channel, Chunky Pandey made some heartfelt and unknown revelations about his struggling days in the film industry. He recalled that his career had suffered a major setback during the 90s. In his last interview, he had cited the entry of new actors as the reason for this.
She shared that she had no work after starring in the film Aankhen with Govinda in 1993. “The only film I got after that was Third Kaun, which got completely flopped. So, I went to Bangladesh and started doing films there. Luckily, she left and I made her my home for four-five years. Made it.” He said.
But, it was a ‘scary’ and challenging time as he was constantly looking for other income sources. Apart from acting in Bangladeshi films, he started his own events company, traded properties and tried different methods to continue earning. He admitted, “I put my ego aside and said I needed to survive. I haven’t stopped working, but I’m completely broke.”
In this entire matter, he had decided not to seek financial help from his parents or share his exact financial challenges with his wife. The Housefull actor confessed to Ananya, “When your mother and I got married, I was in that bad phase. I had just returned from Bangladesh and was trying to find work for myself. I don’t know how to call or call you. “Never got involved in the matter.” Mother came to the set and everything remained the same.
In a recent interview with Raj Shamani a few days ago, the actress shared that her life as a star kid was different, contrary to what people think. He told that when he was born, his father Chunky Pandey was going through a bad phase in his career and often stayed at home due to lack of work. Hence, he did not see stardom for his father where fans would stand in line to catch a glimpse of him.
