Amy Lu Wood’s father is opening up for the reason that his relations with two of his daughters became tense and reduced their marriage. In an interview recently, he clearly revealed that he is trying to fix his fragmented relationship with the White Lotus star and his younger sister Emily, which he shares with his ex -wife Alison.
Talking to the Daily Mail, Michael Wood revealed that his addiction for alcohol and drugs reverse his life, eventually messing up his relationship with his daughters. He shared that he placed his two daughters and ex -wife through hell and was a poor role model for his two girls when he was young.
During the conversation, he revealed that he disappeared for weeks after leaving for a local pub in 2022. He flew to Japan at that time to see the 2002 Football World Cup without informing his family.
He has now been calm for more than two decades, and he is trying to correct the mistakes made in the past. He said, “I sleep in these last 21 years and I am proud of it and on the fact that it has allowed me to have a close relationship with my family,” he told the outlet. “I am grateful to words in his life because he and his sister Emily are the world for me.”
Wood said that she is proud of her daughter and what she is doing in Hollywood, saying that she feels a really good actress with a big heart. Wood shared, “The character that plays in white lotus is very good, so it is a sweet nature.”
Back in 2020, the actress talked about her childhood and how her teenage years were “disturbed”. He shared that his father was a drug and alcohol addiction and he would mostly be absent from his life. “He used to go out for a pint and did not return for days. He once went out and did not return for 10 weeks as he went to the World Cup in Korea,” he told the UK stylist magazine.
The actress revealed that her mother had a constant support in her life, but her father was a party animal that roamed with famous personalities and Manchester City Football players.
Her relationship with her father has improved over the years and accordingly, Therapy actually helped her back to her senses.
Amy recently played Chelsea in the White Lotus season 3. Earlier, she was known for playing the role of Amy Gibbs on sex education.
