Amitabh Bachchan praised my work in Kalki 2898 AD: Costume Designer
Ace makeup artist Pritishil Singh D’Suza opened up to work with Amitabh Bachchan on 2898 AD. In a special interview with India Today Digital, he said that Megastar praised his work.

Popular makeup and prosthetic designer Pritishil Singh D’Souza believes that each new project challenges his creative boundaries for her transformative work in films like Pushpa, Bajirao Mastani and Jawan. In a special interview with India Today Digital, he recalled veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan a reaction to his makeup artistry in 2898 AD, where he portrayed Ashwatthama in a science-fi blockbuster.
From the powerful look of Amitabh Bachchan in 2898 AD to the rugged change of Allu Arjun in Pushpa, Pritishil Singh D’Suza has played an important role in shaping some of the most unforgettable characters of Indian cinema.
D’Souza recalled a special moment when Amitabh Bachchan personally praised his work on his look in 2898 AD. He said, “I received a letter from Mr. Bachchan about his look in Kalki. He praised our work and mentioned how much he likes it and he said that it is a fab. I made a prosthetic forehead and dredalkorks for him, which he really liked. So, one day, I received a letter from his office that it was a special moment for me.”

Talking about what has been his most challenging character change till date, Pritichel told us, “Honestly, every new project that I start feels like a challenge in my head. I always think how I can improve with my previous work. Of course, some important character changes have taken Kathiawadi, and Jawan recently saw Baby John in Jackie Shroff’s look. “
He said, “I work with every character, I always try to do something different that has been done earlier, and at the same time, the character needs to be fit in the drama. The look should not be felt out of place or as an over-the-top caricator.
One of his most demanded projects was Malayalam film Brahmagam, he mentioned. “For example, when I worked at Brahmagam, we created a creature that required a six -hour long makeup process. It was done at the age of 14 years; he was a contraceptive, and the change was crazy. But once you see the final output, it all seems worth it.”
Pritishil’s latest work was the form of Vicky Kaushal in the Chha of Laxman Utekar.
