Poonam Dhillon expressed disappointment that the Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) was not contacted over the Ranveer Singh-Don 3 controversy. The association says that until it knows the complete facts, it cannot take any stand.

We could have tried to resolve the issue. That is what our association is for – to resolve such disputes or any problem that may arise between an actor and a producer.”
He said the situation was unusual because the actor involved is a member of CINTAA, but the association was not informed or taken into confidence.
She said, “Being a part of CINTAA, Ranveer could have involved us and contacted us, so that we could try to resolve the issue in a more amicable manner. I would like every actor to honor his commitments in the best possible way. If there are any issues, he should handle them and if necessary, contact the association so that we can resolve them together.”
The veteran actress refrained from commenting further on the matter as she is not yet fully aware of the ongoing controversy.

This controversy came to light after Ranveer Singh’s exit don 3. Reports claim that Farhan Akhtar and Excel Entertainment have demanded compensation on the estimated pre-production losses of around Rs 40-45 crore. The matter was later taken to the Producers Guild of India, after which Farhan approached FWICE.
The committee issued a non-cooperation direction against Ranveer on May 25, alleging that the actor did not respond to repeated requests to appear before the federation and discuss the matter. FWICE consultant Ashok Pandit claimed that even before the actor left the film, the production team had already spent heavily on hotel bookings, foreign travel, location recce and other pre-production arrangements.
