However, you won’t have to wait that long. You can head over to the Prime Day page and check out some of the early deals.

If you have children, you may want to check out the Back to School page for school essentials. If you have older children, the Off to College page may be of interest. Additionally, Amazon has a special membership called Prime for young adults, which costs $7.49 per month or $69 per year (half the cost for older people). You can find that here. 18-24 year olds can get a 6-month free trial, so if you activate it now, it’ll be active long before Prime Day.

Interestingly, groceries are a major part of Prime shopping because of their same-day delivery. If you haven’t tried it yet, this Prime Day there will be Red Cherries for $1, Hot Dogs and Buns for $1, and 4 Corn for $1. This is what Amazon needs to do to compete with Walmart, the largest grocery store in the US.

Of course, Prime Day isn’t just an American thing. This year, Prime Day will take place in the following territories: United States, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Ireland, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Portugal, Belgium, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and Singapore. Additionally, Brazil and Japan will have their own shopping events. We’ve linked local press releases where available.

If you want to know why Amazon moved Prime Day from July to June, here’s what Jamil Ghani, international vice president of Amazon Prime, told Reuters: “This year, we have the (FIFA) World Cup.
