Actor Allu Arjun is not expected to appear in court on Monday in person in the ongoing Hyderabad stampede case in which a woman named Revathi was killed and her nine-year-old son Sritej was injured. Pushpa 2 will premiere at Sandhya Theater in 2024. According to sources in his office, his legal team is ready to represent him during the hearing and handle the court proceedings on his behalf.

Sources said the actor had sought permission from the court to appear virtually, but the request was reportedly rejected, and he was directed to appear in person. Despite that direction, he is not expected to appear before the court. Further details on the court’s response and further action are awaited.

All about Pushpa stampede case

The case pertains to a stampede during a special show Pushpa: Rules At Sandhya Theater on December 4, 2024. In this incident, a woman named Revathi died and her son Shretej suffered serious injuries and is still undergoing treatment.

The court has issued summons to 19 accused in the case, while the police have already filed charge sheets against 23 people. Chikkadappally police have named Allu Arjun as accused number 11, while the management of Sandhya Theater has been listed as accused numbers 1 to 10.

In a recent development following the incident, the actor’s father and producer Allu Aravind, along with Arjun’s wife Sneha Reddy, visited young Sretej at his home and met his family.

Reports say that during the visit, Allu Aravind promised educational assistance for Sretej’s younger sister. He is said to have told the family, “Study well, I will bear all the expenses of your education.”

Allu family ties up with production banner Pushpahas been helping with Shretej’s medical expenses since the incident, and the support continues as he undergoes rehabilitation and long-term medical care.

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun will be next seen in director Atlee’s film RakaIn which Deepika Padukone is also there.
