Akshay Kumar was at his best when striking up a conversation at the dinner table at home, during the title session successes and failures on the second day of India Today Conclave 2026. The actor shared that some time ago dinner table conversations with wife Twinkle Khanna had stopped being about politics and generally revolved around their lives. He said avoiding heated debates has helped maintain peace in his circle.

The topic came up when the host of the session, Rajdeep Sardesai, said that the actor was known for his right-wing leanings while Twinkle was reportedly left-liberal inclined. Akshay replied that contrasting viewpoints often help a family move forward.
“current so negative me and Positive Both are needed, only then the light will come on. (You need both negative and positive current to light a bulb). But we stopped discussing politics about six years ago. We have a lot to talk about in life.”

The conversation also turned to 58-year-old actor Priyadarshan’s upcoming film ghost bangla. This horror comedy marks his collaboration with the director after almost 14 years. Backed by Balaji Motion Pictures in association with its banner, Cape of Good Films, the upcoming film stars Akshay along with Vamika Gabbi, Paresh Rawal, Tabu and Rajpal Yadav in lead roles. This film is going to be released on the big screen on April 10.
