Actor Ajit Kumar never missed a chance to give credit to his wife, Shalini, a former actor during his milestone. In a special chat with India today, he talked about his decision to take a backseat in his career to support him. He said that he was grateful to the sacrifices he made and credited him for what he had achieved in life. Shalini Ajit Kumar spoke cinema for cinema after marrying the actor in 2000.

‘Good bed ugly’ actor said, “Shalini, she made a lot of sacrifices. She is a pillar of support. I am very grateful to the universe.”

Explaining how he had supported him for years, Ajit said that he had taken wrong decisions in his life. “I am not trying to make the right sound politically right here.

Ajit Kumar received the Padma Bhushan Award from President Draupadi Murmu in New Delhi on Monday. He said that this feeling has not drowned yet. “I am probably living a dream. I am afraid someone will wake me up,” he said.

Currently, the actor is taking a break from work to focus on his racing career. Earlier this year, he said he would not sign any new project during the racing season (till October). In 2025, he has so far participated in three races and has acquired two podium finish in international programs.

The actor will return to Europe for the next phase of the international car race in a few days.
