Oracle President Larry Ellison said that Artificial Intelligence (AI) can help develop a customized vaccine against cancer for a person in just 48 hours.

At the launch of the Stargate Project at the White House, Ellison said advances in AI could revolutionize healthcare and announced that AI would soon design personalized mRNA vaccines for each person to fight cancer, produced by robotic systems. Can be done.

He said that since small pieces of tumors float in the blood, AI could help in early detection of cancer. Then, with the help of gene sequencing through a simple blood test, a vaccine can be developed to fight that cancer.

“Small pieces of those tumors float around in your blood. So you can detect cancer early. If you can do that using AI, you can detect cancer early with a blood test and “We can use AI to look at the blood test. Once we sequence the genes of that cancer, we can then design a vaccine to vaccinate that person against that cancer,” he explained.

Ellison said, “You can make that mRNA vaccine robotically and using AI in 48 hours. So imagine getting a cancer detected early, having a vaccine developed for your particular cancer and in 48 hours. You’ll have that vaccine within hours – that’s a promise.”

President Donald Trump announced a $100 billion investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure in the US, funded through a joint venture called the Stargate Project, with the goal of increasing it to $500 billion over the course of four years.

The initial equity funders are SoftBank, OpenAI and MGX, with SoftBank and OpenAI being key partners of Stargate. Arm, Microsoft, Nvidia, Oracle, and OpenAI are “key early technology partners” of the project.

What is mRNA vaccine?

An mRNA vaccine uses a short piece of messenger RNA (a molecule that carries specific instructions from DNA) to instruct the body’s cells to produce a specific protein, thereby triggering an immune response.

It helps the immune system recognize and attack cancer cells, teaching the body to target the disease. These vaccines are safe and can be developed rapidly.
