After the loss of Oscar, Anuja manufacturer Gungate Monga paid Hat-Tip to independent cinema
Anuja’s creator Guniyat Monga shared his first statement on Instagram following the loss of Oscar. He promised to return soon and paid a cap-tip to independent cinema.

Anuja’s creator Gunaita Monga shared his first statement on Instagram after the Oscar loss on 3 March. He paid Hat-Tip to independent cinema and promised to return to the Oscars. At the 97th Academy Awards, Anuja lost to the Dutch film ‘I Am Not a Robot’ in the Best Live Action Short Film category. The 22 -minute short film is directed by Adam J. Graves.
Sharing a series of her photos wearing clothes in a modern saree for the Oscar, Monga wrote, “Celebrating independent cinema at the 97th Academy Awards, the idea is a will that dreams come true! We joined the event with our short film Anuja, but it is just the beginning.
He thanked the entire team and received the degree of independent cinema. “Independent storytellers have the truth, and we should continue to make them champions. I am deeply grateful to the academy to bring @anujathefilm on a global stage. You will never regret it.” (SIC), “he said.

Anuja of India, supported by Gunaita Monga and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, was nominated for the Best Live Action Short film. The film revolves around a nine-year-old girl who works in a garment factory. Since he gets a chance to go to school, he is also put in a serious position to make him one of the most difficult decisions of his life, which will change the fate of him and his sister.
