Musician AR Rahman and his wife Saira Banu recently revealed their decision to end their marriage after 29 years. As soon as this news created a stir in the industry, social media users and YouTubers reportedly started creating stories regarding this matter. In response to this, the musician has issued a legal warning.
In a recent tweet titled, “Notice to all condemners from the legal team of ARR,” the music director has asked social media users and YouTubers to remove their content within an hour or maximum 24 hours . Failure to do so, the musician has said he will file a criminal defamation case against the offenders, which could see them jailed for up to two years, with or without fine.

For those unaware, the legal warning comes after AR Rahman made a tweet regarding his divorce through his official X (formerly Twitter) handle. A tweet written by the musician read, “We had hoped to reach Grand Thirty, but it seems that all things have an unseen end. Even the throne of God can tremble under the weight of broken hearts,” he expressed his appreciation to everyone and requested privacy.
Before AR Rahman’s official tweet, several reports had given information about the official statement issued by Saira Banu’s lawyers. The statement issued by the lawyer read, “After many years of marriage, Mrs. Saira has taken the difficult decision to separate from her husband Mr. AR Rahman. This decision comes after significant emotional stress in their relationship. It also became clear from the statement that both of them still have immense love for each other but there has been tension in their relationship.
Moving on, AR Rahman recently took the internet by storm by unveiling the first single from Jayam Ravi and Nithya Menen starrer Kadhalika Neramillai. The funky dance banger titled Yennai Izhukkuthadi had AR Rahman singing along with singer Dhi.
Apart from this, the composer is also set to compose the tracks and score for Ram Charan’s next film with director Buchi Babu Sana, which is tentatively titled RC 16. Furthermore, it has also been confirmed that ARR will be working with RJ Balaji in Suriya’s film which also stars Kamal Haasan. Starring Thug Life in the lineup.
