After Dhanush, Chandramukhi makers file Rs 5 crore suit against Nayanthara over documentary

Actress Nayanthara is currently facing legal challenges over the Netflix documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale. The makers of Tamil film Chandramukhi have reportedly filed a lawsuit against the makers of the documentary, alleging unauthorized use of clips from their film.
The legal notice alleges that the inclusion of these clips is a violation of copyright laws, demanding the filmmakers to remove them immediately. The documentary, which highlights Nayanthara’s career and personal life, has sparked controversy following legal action.
This information was shared by actor Chitra Laxman, who regularly provides updates related to the film on her YouTube channel. According to Laxman, the producers of Chandramukhi are unhappy with some scenes from their film being shown in the documentary, which is currently streaming on Netflix.

The makers of Chandramukhi were reportedly said to have sent a legal notice to Nayanthara and the OTT platform for not taking proper permission to use footage from the film. However, the team has denied these claims and said that they have not filed any case against Nayanthara. He further clarified that he had already given permission to the actress to use the footage in question.
Earlier, Dhanush had sent a legal notice to Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan over the use of some clips from the film Naanum Rowdy Dhan in his Netflix documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale.
The documentary is currently streaming on Netflix.
