In short
- Amid AI change, the idol rejected the division between technical and management education
- They believe that both skills are important because they solve problems at various levels
- The idol suggests that AI will create more jobs and demand high-level problem-solution skills
Since Artificial Intelligence continued to reopen the job landscape, the illusion around which area is more relevant – technical or management – to roam the minds of young graduates. While some argue that AI is inspired by technical skills and therefore dominated, others may bend to the importance of management skills to create a collaborative work area between humans and AI. However, Infosys co-founder NR Narayan Murthy completely rejected the division. In his view, both regions are equally important and relevant in navigating the AI-LED future.
In a recent interview with Moneycontrol, the 78 -year -old software industry Titan said he does not see any meaningful difference between two educational streams. They argue that both areas simply face problems from different angles. “I see no difference between a management bachelor’s and a technology bachelor’s because they attack the problem at various levels,” Murthy said. “One asks ‘what,’ while the other focuses on how ‘how’.”
Murthy also disagreed with the idea that AI is a threat to human jobs in the future. They believe that AI is a device that can significantly increase human productivity. “It is all about improving productivity. It is about solving problems that are beyond human efforts,” he said. Sharing his own experience with AI, he revealed that since he started using chats to prepare a lecture, Chatbot has greatly helped improve his productivity. Once he took him for 30 hours, now he is able to finish it in just five. He said, “I improved my own productivity up to five times,” he said, insisting how AI can act as an assistant agent, not a replacement.
Murthy believes that AI will be elevated, not over, the role of a human worker. Instead of large -scale job loss, he guesses that AI will bring about changes and more jobs based on developed skills set. He said, “When everyone comes to the banking sector, the jobs will go away. But the jobs have multiplied with a factor of 40 to 50,” he said. On the same lines, he suggests that AI will help people to make them smarter and work. “Our programmers and analysts will become smart and smart … they will solve big problems, more complex problems.”
However, according to the idol, what will change, such thinking will be required. He believes that future professionals will need to define problems and become faster in preparing more complex questions. “Smartness is asking the correct question,” he said. According to him, the correct value of human input in jobs will not be regular execution, but in strategic thinking and creative problems.
