Actor Kim Suu-Hune’s fans hire a lawyer to defend him against online harassment
Fans of ‘Queen of Tiers’ actor Kim Suu-Hune have appointed a lawyer to deal with increasing online misuse against the actor. The move aims to combat malicious comments and protect their reputation.

Fans of South Korean actor Kim Suu-Hune have taken legal action to save from what they describe as a growing wave of online misuse. Kim Suu-Hune Korea and Global Fan Alliance announced on 22 April that he had appointed lawyer Yang Tae-Young from Lofard Sivu to represent the actor’s interests.
The group, which recently introduced a global petition in support of the ‘Queen of Tiers’ star, said the move aims to compete with “malicious comments, rumors, lies, hatred comments and oppression”, which the actor was directed online.
The group said in a statement released on the same day, “We believe that it is our right as fans to protect the actor’s reputation.”
“We have agreed to the fans of Kim Suu-Hune from inside and outside Korea, that we can not ignore the actor Kim Suu-Hune’s aim of constant humiliating insults, false rumors, defamation and personal attacks and then appointed Yang Tae Yang as our legal lawyer,” said in the statement.
Emphasizing its commitment to promote a “healthy fan culture”, the coalition also stated that Kim So Hyun has been focused on its work for years. “We will take strong measures against any malicious efforts to prevent our efforts,” the statement said.

On 31 March, the actor held a press conference in an attempt to clear his name in the case of Kim Sai-Ron. During his conference, he expressed his regrets, denied the allegations, and vowed to prove his innocence. “First of all, I am sorry. Because of me, I think a lot of people are suffering. And I also regret that the late actor (Kim Sai-Ron) is not able to rest in peace,” he started.
Accepting his hesitation in addressing the first controversy, he admitted, “I consider myself a coward. I felt foreigner to save everything I was always doing. I could not rely on the kindness shown to me, and I was always afraid to lose something, so I was busy running and refusing to stand here. It took me to stand here.
On 16 February, Kim Sa-Ron was found dead at his residence in Seongdong district of Seoul, which coincided with Kim Suu-Hune’s birthday. According to Korean media reports, authorities have ruled on his death as suicide.
