Abhishek Sharma recalls ‘Kaho Na…’ shoot: Was overwhelmed by Hrithik’s dedication
Actor Abhishek Sharma talks about playing the role of Hrithik Roshan’s younger brother in ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’. The film will be re-released in theaters on January 10, on the occasion of the star’s birthday.
The announcement of the re-release of Kaho Na Pyaar Hai in theaters has left many people excited and nostalgic. Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel debuted with this film, released 25 years ago, and it became a blockbuster overnight. Actor Abhishek Sharma, who was around 10 years old at the time, played the role of Hrithik’s younger brother in the Rakesh Roshan-directed film. In an exclusive conversation with India Today Digital, the actor recalled his time on the sets of the film and said he was impressed by Hrithik Roshan’s dedication.
Revealing that a friend had sent him an Instagram post about the re-release of Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, Abhishek Sharma said, “I immediately felt nostalgic. This film is special for so many reasons. It’s really nice to see my younger self. “It’s going to be fun.” I really can’t believe it’s already 25 years. I still remember how Rakesh uncle approached Sunil uncle (filmmaker Suneer Darshan) who was producing my film Champion Bhaiya Ke Bhai and that’s how we met. First of all he told me that my name is after Amitabh Bachchan (Amit). “That made me really excited and happy.”

The Sasural Simar Ka actor shared that considering he was the youngest, he had a lot of fun and was pampered by everyone. She further added that even though Rakesh Roshan was strict, he had a sweet approach to help her, “It is because of him that I understood the importance of learning your lines. I remember once I faltered Being disciplined and prepared, the next day, I gave a one-take shot and he clapped for me, honestly speaking, ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’ was like a school for me. “
Talking about Hrithik Roshan, the actor said that he has always been very humble and dedicated. Abhishek shared how the superstar would be listening to songs from the film during breaks, practicing his lines, dance steps or even actions. “It’s because of this dedication that he is where he is today. Also, he was very sweet to me throughout the shoot. I remember he used to have strawberry flavored protein shakes and I would always sip a few sips of that Used to take.” He then asked his team to bring me the same thing in a small bottle, although I think it was a milkshake,” he said laughing, adding that he would imitate Hrithik and shake his sipper before drinking, which would help him Will laugh.
Abhishek Sharma said that when Rohit’s character died in the film, he was heartbroken. “I was very sad that my brother died.
