Bobby Deol is currently enjoying the success of a Badnam Azaram season 3 Part 2. After portraying romantic roles beforehand, the actor has now moved the gear, which has been widely appreciated by his fans by embracing intensive negative characters. In an interview recently, he credited Prakash Jha to believe for a negative role when no one else did, but also admitted that he was now typical in such roles.
He played his distinguished hero image as a controversial Godman in Asharam and later in the animal. In a recent conversation with PTI, Bobby Deol revealed that he is searching for similar roles once again, as he continues to receive several proposals for negative characters.
Bobby Deol, who has also portrayed negative roles in Race 3, Love Hostel and Kangwa, admitted that the villains are both exciting and challenging while playing, they are eager to take diverse and unconventional roles.
He accepted filmmaker Prakash Jha to change public perception through his depiction of Baba Nirala in Ashiram. The popular series recently made a comeback with the second part of its third season.
Deol reflected how his career took a turn after playing a negative role. He said that change had changed his life, as people started to experience him differently, admitting that he could clearly portray the opposing characters. He mentioned that, at that level in his career, some people believed in his ability to take such roles, except filmmaker Prakash Jha.
However, Deol admitted that he is now facing typisting once again. He expressed his desire to break this image, clarifying that it is not a desire to play the main lead, but about the discovery of diverse roles.
Speaking of his current projects, the actor shared that the characters they are portraying are beyond their comfort. He initially felt hesitant about taking him, as he needed to push himself and make a lot of efforts.
The premiere of a much awaited ashram season 3 Part 2 took place on 26 February 2025 on the Amazon MX Player.
