But being on a dating platform just to prove yourself that you are still desirable? It can be problematic – or therefore the relationship specialist says.

In some cases, ego-scrolling may be really helpful. For example, if you have gone through divorce or have finished a long -term relationship, it can serve as a reminder that there are still other options as you start moving forward.
Its effect on others
Experts agree that ego can cause great harm to those at the end of scrolling.
“When people match on dating sites, they invest emotional energy and expect in a possible relationship. But in the case of an ego scroller, they feel ignored or ghosts once after meeting the needs of a scrawler.
