Actor Shabana Azmi recently shared a picture of her half -son, Farhan Akhtar on Instagram. The picture taken during Farhan’s wedding from Shibani Dandekar in 2022 catch a clear and affectionate moment between them.
In the photo, Farhan is seen dressed in an elegant black tuxido with a bow tie, smiling warmly in azmi because shares a joyful moment between the two ceremonies. Azmi captioned the post, “My precious betu #farhan. I love this moment.”
Azmi, who has married lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar in 1984, has long been maintained with her children from her previous marriage to screenwriter Honey Irani – filmmaker Zoya Akhtar and actor -director Farhan Akhtar.
In a 2023 interview with Filmfare, Azmi opened up about the unique bond shared with Akhtar brothers and sisters, which credited Honey Irani for laying the foundation of trust and openness that defines their relationship.
“We are very sociable. I have a great relationship with them on the basis of friendship and faith. I give great importance to Farhan and Zoya, and I think they give me importance,” Azmi shared. “A lot of that credit goes to his mother, honey. I would have to say that she was very generous. If she decided that children would not be friends with me, they could not befriend me.”
He further emphasized the importance of mutual respect and boundaries in maintaining family harmony, saying, “I have to accept it honestly that I believe it for honey that I have such a beautiful relationship not only with her children but also with her. We have a beautiful, happy bond.
On the work front, Shabana Azmi was last seen in the crime thriller ‘Dabba Cartel’, which was premiered on Netflix on 28 February. Directed by Hitesh Bhatia and produced by Excel Entertainment, the show includes an artist contingent including Anjali Anand, Jyotika, Sai Tamhakar, Shalini Pandey, Jishu Sengupta, Lilte Dubey, Bhupendra Jadawat and Gajraj Rao.
Shabana will be seen in the next ‘Lahore 1947’, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. Supported by Aamir Khan Productions, the film stars Preity Zinta, Sunny Deol, Ali Fazal, Karan Deol and Shabana.
