Filmmaker Martin Scorscays Nerj Ghaywan’s upcoming film ‘Homebound’ has been included as an executive producer. The film starring Ishaan Khat, Vishal Jethwa and Janhvi Kapoor is set to premiere in some UN honor segment at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival to be held from 14 to 25 May.

‘Homebound’ marked Ghaywan’s return to the Cannes of a decade after a decade of his first film ‘Masaan’, who won two awards at the festival.

Speaking about cooperation, Scorsce said, “I have watched Neeraj’s first film ‘Masaan’ in 2015 and I like it very much, so when Melita Torskan Do Plantar sent me the project of my second film, I was eager. I was eager to story, culture.

Producer Karan Johar said, “‘Homebound’ is an extraordinary confluence of talent, vision, and story, which is in its best.

While reflecting the experience, Ghaywan said, “Shree lended his name for ‘homebound’ to be an icon like Scorsce, is an honor beyond words. ‘Homebound’ has achieved French distribution through advertising vitam, which is known for handling award winning films such as ‘A Fantastic Woman’ and ‘Sol of Saul’.

The film is produced by Karan Johar, other Poonwal, Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra, with Marizke Desuza and Melita Toscan Do Plantar co-producers.
