Veteran actor Manoj Kumar breathed his last (April 4) at the age of 87 at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai today (4 April). Are expressing condolences from all corners of the country. He was not only a great actor, but also one of the most kind stars in the country. He even helped Dharmendra financially during his struggling days and managed his expenses by acting as a ghosterite.

According to a report by News18, when Dharmendra was leaving an impression after falling through his initial film offering, he met an ambitious actor Manoj Kumar. Both were going through similar challenges, which led to a strong friendship.

He even became a roommate during his early days in Mumbai. To maintain himself, Manoj Kumar took Ghost Writing Gigs to cover his expenses.

At one point, Dharmendra considered leaving his dreams and going back to Punjab. However, Manoj Kumar stepped into and encouraged him to remain. In 1960, Manoj Kumar played a role in Kach’s Gudiya. Realizing that the financial stability was around the corner, he convinced Dharmendra to stay in Mumbai for just one month.

Well, that one decision changed everything. Within a week, Dharmendra got his big break with Dil Bhoi Tera Hum Bhi Tere, which marked the beginning of his journey in Bollywood.

Meanwhile, Manoj Kumar died at 87 am on 4 April at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. According to news agency Annie, his funeral will be held on 5 April 2025.

Mourning his loss with Bollywood celebrities, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid tribute to a hearty message and shared throbac paintings in memory of the legendary actor.
