The PM praised the music video as it shows Kerala’s traditional martial arts in some detail. It also has sports like Gatka and Thang-Ta.
“You should know about the popular rapper Hanumankand. These days, his new song, run it up, is quite famous. In music videos, our traditional martial arts like Kalapayattu, Gatka and Thang-Ta are included in the clip. I want to congratulate Hanumankind, because now people know about these traditional games.”
Indian culture is prominently included in Hanumankind’s new track run it up. It has at least seven traditional Indian folk references, besides the Prime Minister already mentioned.
Hanumankand hit the global rap scene with his chartbuster, Big Dogs, widely trended on various social media platforms. Hanumankand is originally from Kerala and released its single daily dose in 2019.
