Gaza’s Civil Defense Agency said nine people including journalists were killed in Israeli attacks on North Saturday, an attack condemned Hamas as a “clear violation” of the delicate ceasefire.
“Nine martyrs (to hospital) have been transferred, including many journalists and many workers from al-Khair Charitable Organization, which coincides in artillery shells in the same area, as a result of the occupation of a vehicle with a drone in Beat Lahia city,”
The Health Ministry in the Hamas-Run Palestinian region stated that “nine martyrs and many injured, including important cases, have come to Indonesian Hospital in Northern Gaza Strip, due to ongoing Israeli aggression”.
In a statement, the Israeli army stated that it “hit two terrorists … operated a drone, which posed a threat to IDF soldiers in the field of Beat Lahia”.
“Later, several additional terrorists collected drone operating equipment and entered a vehicle. The IDF hit the terrorists,” said this.
Following the attacks, Hamas accused Israel of violating the Gaza Trus deal.
Hamas spokesperson Hazem Kasem said in a statement, “Business (Israel) has performed a horrific massacre in the North Gaza Strip, targeting a group of journalists and human workers, in a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement.”
In Gaza, Ismail Thawabteh, director of Hamas-Bedd Media, told AFP that local photo journalists were “killed using drones to catch images of Ramadan dining table in Beat Lahia”.
He said that he was “directly targeted by occupation of two air strikes, despite his work being clear”.
Israel has carried out near-ritual airstrikes in Gaza since the beginning of March, often targeting that the army said terrorists were planting explosive equipment.
In the Israeli war with Hamas since January 19, there has been a large scale in the Israeli war, and no compromise has been made yet on expanding the ceasefire.
The first phase of the Trus ended on March 1, but both Israel and Hamas refrained from returning to the all-out war.
