Alex Cooper, popular podcast calls are stepping into his daddy host, reality TV. On 12 March, Hulu announced that Cooper would create a new dating show called overboard for love. This will be the first unpublished series under his production company, Unwell Productions, which is part of the unhealthy network.
The series will be on a luxury boat where solo love will be sought. However, it will not be easy to reach exclusive features of the boat. “As the journey comes out, the romance ignites, the form of the alliance, and the hearts shatter,” the logline shows. Finally, only one couple will win.
Unhealthy Productions Jeff Jeff will co-produce overboard for love with Jenkins Productions, who according to people are known for their work on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
Alex Cooper will serve as an executive producer with her husband, Hollywood producer Matt Coupon. Other executive manufacturers include the former manufacturer of The Bachelor Meena Lefevere, Russell J-Staglik and Jason Erlich.
Cooper said in a press release, “I can’t be more excited that the first unhealthy series of unhealthy productions, coming into life with Overboard for Love, our amazing companions, Hulu.”
He said that the project was a major milestone for him, which shows his vision of creating bold, unfliest materials that push the boundaries. He also said that he designed a unique dating show and was eager to show what unwell was capable.
Cooper launched unhealthy network in 2023 to produce materials for General-Z Audiences. He later expanded the podcast division of the network by signing with Siriusxm in 2024.
Unhealthy networks have signed several creators, including Medaline Arggi, Harry Jovesi and Grace O’Mali. However, the Elix Earl, who was one of the first creators signed, was removed from the network last month.
Cooper said that his goal for unwell was to build a major media company. He told the Hollywood reporter in October that it was incredible how much he had completed in only one year, from a tour, which was sold to host micro-events sold in seven cities, bringing thousands of women together. He also shared his ambition to become the world’s largest material manufacturer.
